A civil wedding ceremony can also take place at SPEISEKAI, subject to arrangements. Hamburg-Nord registry office conducts off-site ceremonies subject to availability and capacity, usually around midday on Fridays. Please request your date directly from the registry office and arrange use of the venue with us.
By arrangement, your civil wedding ceremony can take place indoors or on our glazed terrace. We will discuss the setting and detailed arrangements with you in person at the venue and coordinate the ceremony with the registry office.
A symbolic wedding ceremony is a separate option: we would be happy to discuss your plans and a suitable location on our grounds.

A meal together, conversations with family and a glass raised in celebration: we will help you create the right setting for your wedding. The restaurant and terrace set the atmosphere; together, we plan the details around your wishes.
We will discuss whether a seated meal or a buffet suits your celebration best. Barbecues and finger food are options too. What matters is your schedule and how you would like to celebrate with your guests.

A ceremony and celebration your way
You can hold a symbolic wedding ceremony on the SPEISEKAI grounds. The boathouse and outdoor areas are available for the celebration afterwards, depending on the agreed use. The venue accommodates up to 155 guests, depending on seating and your plans for the day.
You are welcome to arrange the decorations yourself or work with a supplier you trust. For music, we work with a pool of experienced DJs. Our new event brochure includes details about decorations, music and bringing your own cake.

Exclusive use of SPEISEKAI is possible by arrangement. Plan your ceremony, reception and wedding celebration in one place, in Hamburg-Eppendorf on the Isebek Canal.
The boathouse, covered terrace and outdoor areas offer different settings for your day. Depending on seating and the areas used, the venue accommodates up to 155 guests. We discuss the right layout for dining, the reception and dancing during a viewing; capacities of individual areas are not simply added together.
Food that feels right for you.
A celebratory menu, a varied buffet, barbecue or finger food for the reception: together we choose food to suit your guests and the flow of your day. Our events brochure gives you an overview of the options.
Please discuss vegetarian preferences, allergies and intolerances with us in advance. We also agree drinks, aperitifs and drinks to accompany the meal. A wedding cake brought by you is subject to the terms in our events brochure.
From the first toast to the dance floor.
How would you like your wedding day to feel? Together we plan the flow: arrival and ceremony, reception, a shared meal, speeches and the celebration afterwards. Timings are agreed for your event.
You can organise flowers and decorations yourselves or work with a supplier you trust. For music, we can draw on our pool of experienced DJs. Space for a DJ, dancing and any other requirements is agreed in advance.

1. Enquire about a date: tell us your preferred date, approximate guest numbers and whether you are planning a ceremony here. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking.
2. Meet in person: during a viewing, we explore the spaces and discuss your ideas, the layout and possible timings.
3. Plan together: food, drinks, decorations, music, timings and terms are agreed for your celebration and set out in the offer.
4. Confirm the details: before your wedding, we agree final guest numbers, dietary requirements and the practical arrangements.

Yes. SPEISEKAI is in the historic boathouse at Isekai 12 in Hamburg-Eppendorf, directly beside the Isebek Canal.
Is the terrace covered?
Yes, the terrace is covered. We will agree with you how the rooms and terrace can be used for your celebration.
